Attracting future residents and making your property look good is what the apartment marketing window is all about. Flags are a great way to add color and attract attention to your frontage, but what type of flags are best? With hundreds of styles, colors and sizes to choose from, how do you know what works? Apartment Signs For Less is here to help...
In Part II of this series on choosing flags that will work for you, we will look at color. Do certain colors attract more attention than others? Is brighter really better?
Color is very important, but it is not a one size fits all scenario. The only general rule is that blue is not the most visible flag color because it does not stand out from the sky. Other than that, choosing colors for flags is location specific. So, how do you choose the color(s) that will work best on YOUR property?
Take a walk or a drive down the street where your flags will be seen. What do you see? And more importantly what don’t you see around you? You want to stand out by using pleasant colors that are absent in your area. Have a tree-lined frontage? Don't use green. Is your backdrop beige? Try orange. If the property next door or just down the street is using red, go with a combination of yellow and purple.
Also, take into consideration what signs you already have and try to stick with that theme. As important as standing out is, you want to be sure that people associate your flags with your property. If your marketing window leasing campaign is blue and I just told you that blue isn't very visible. Don't just abandon your congruent look, simply incorporate a standout color, like yellow or orange with the blue.
And for the record - brighter is not necessarily better, but that we will save for another time.
